Product Description

DC Metropolitan Police has commissioned a special purpose mini badge lapel pin for wear in commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the signature of the Declaration of Independence and formation of the United States of America. This pin is unique to all previous designed special purpose pins for the department and is exclusively designed for MPD.

The mini badge lapel pin features the U.S. Capitol building in the center, beautifully raised in 3D detail with fireworks in the background, positioned above the U.S. flag at the bottom. The pin also includes a number panel that will have "1776" on all badges. The pin is designed especially for the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the country.

A portion of proceeds from each badge sold benefits DC Crime Solvers. 

Pins take approximately 4 weeks to make, the first shipments will go out after July 31, 2026.

Minting & Delivery Schedule

Badges sets and individual badges will be shipped to non-MPD sworn members and civilians after July 31, 2026.
