Lakeland Police Department Spring Training Badge

The men and women of the Lakeland Police Department have been partners with the Detroit Tigers for more than 89 years. They continue to protect the players, staff and fans to keep the national pastime safe and enjoyable for everyone. To commemorate this long relationship, Collinson Enterprises is offering a badge and coin to those who are in (or did serve with) the Lakeland Police Department.

The badge is approximately 3" tall and is offered in either silver or gold finishes and features the Detroit Tigers "D" in police blue. Crossed bats and baseballs adorn the badge. The top banner reads "Lakeland Police". The middle banner is engravable with up to 10 characters for rank. The bottom panel reads "Since 1934" and "Spring Training".

The coin has a silver or gold finish and is 1.75" across with a flat wave edge. It features the Lakeland Police Department Patch on the obverse side with the department values of "RESPECT", "INTEGRITY", "TEAMWORK" and "EXCELLENCE" in the rim around the patch. The reverse side features Joker Marchant Stadium and the year 1934 with "SPRING TRAINING" and "LAKELAND FLORIDA" on the rim.

Important production notes:

• The first minting will begin on July 19th. Subsequent mintings will begin on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Production takes 7-9 weeks.
  
• The department will provide guidance regarding when these badges are authorized for wear.
  
• All orders will be reviewed by the department POC before going into production.
