The Hyattsville Police Department has commissioned a special purpose badge for wear in commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the signature of the Declaration of Independence and formation of the United States of America.
This badge is unique to all previous designed special purpose badges for the department and is exclusively designed for Hyattsville Police Officers. The badge measures approximately 2.5" tall and features a unique version of the Maryland state seal in the center, in a beautiful polished gold finish, along with the U.S. flag and Betsy Ross flag depicted on each side.
