The badge is Made in U.S.A. by Collinson Enterprises, die struck in solid .102” brass, colors are stoned and polished to the level of the raised detail, badges are finished in choice of pure 24K gold or, pure rhodium if you prefer a polished silver appearance. Each badge has a back die that reads "Honoring Those Who Stood The Thin Blue Line For Texas". On the front of the badge the mourning band includes the Latin “Memo Me Impune Lacessit” which is an expression used by police officers everywhere to express their support and pledge to fallen officers and their families. The translation is "No one wounds me with impunity" or "No one harms me and gets away with it." Embracing the star are a branch of oak leaves on the left representing strength, and laurel leaves on the right which are a symbol of peace and victory.
